CDC Recommends Transportation and Logistics Workers Receive COVID-19 Vaccine as Part of Phase 1 Distribution

January 1  the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officially published a recommendation to include transportation and logistics workers in the essential worker designation for Phase 1c allocation of COVID-19 vaccines. State and local jurisdictions have largely relied on CDC guidance for COVID-19 vaccination program planning and implementation, as they are charged with the ultimate decisions regarding vaccine distribution.

IWLA has been advocating at the state level for the prioritization of warehouse workers in the vaccine distribution process, as 3PLs have provided essential services across the U.S. during the pandemic and are still working to do so.
