Bill to Extend PPP until May Set to be Signed into Law
After being passed by the House on March 16 and Senate on March 25, a bill (H.R. 1799) to extend the March 31 deadline to apply for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is expected to be signed into law by the President.
The legislation will extend the deadline for PPP applications to May 31, and the federal government will have until June 30 to process the applications. As of March 7, nearly $120 billion in PPP funding remained.
