  • Thieves steal toys, clothes, tools from Salvation Army warehouse in Baltimore

    A Salvation Army warehouse in Baltimore has lost "tens of thousands of dollars in construction tools, as well as Christmas toys and clothes for underprivileged children" after three burglaries in a week, CBS Baltimore reports. The warehouse also houses the organization's upcoming 7,000-square-foot nonprofit grocery store, DMG Foods, which will be the first of its kind in Salvation Army history.   • ELDs to Cause 3.44 Percent Hit to Capacity

    The seventh and final ELD survey conducted by Morgan Stanley before the Dec. 18 compliance date has found that capacity is expected to tighten about 3.44 percent, the highest level of all the surveys, the firm said. Morgan Stanley surveyed a cross-section of about 375 carriers, shippers and brokers. According to the results, 14 percent of respondents expect at least a 7 percent capacity reduction with a plurality (60 percent) expecting it to tighten in the first half of 2018.
