April 19, 2016 (DES PLAINES, Ill.) –IWLA, the resource for warehouse logistics, awarded its Jock Menzies Distinguished Service & Leadership Award to Paul T. Verst, CWLP, president & CEO of Verst Group Logistics based in Walton, Ky. The International Warehouse Logistics Association honored Verst on the association’s 125th anniversary, March 15 during the business meeting at the 2016 IWLA Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla.
The IWLA Jock Menzies Distinguished Service Award, one of the industry’s highest honors, recognizes outstanding leadership and service to the warehouse logistics and to IWLA, the industry’s trade association.
IWLA recognized Verst’s dedication to advancing the association forward, as 2013-2014 IWLA chairman. During that year of service, Verst led the IWLA Search Committee to find a new IWLA president and CEO.
“Paul is responsible for diligently seeking out candidates with proven expertise in association management and knowledge of creating financial stability and growth,” says IWLA Chairman Mark DeFabis, CEO, of Integrated Distribution Services based in Plainfield, Ind. “Paul recognized unique visionary qualities in Steve DeHaan and his recommendation of DeHaan as IWLA president and CEO, has led the association to not only grow, but thrive nearly three years later.”
