Florida Warehouse Executive Named
IWLA Chairman of the Board
March 31, 2015 (DES PLAINES, Ill.) – Members of the International Warehouse Logistics Association elected Rob Doyle, CWLP, vice president of business development at Winter Haven, Fla.-based Commercial Warehousing as the 2015-2016 chairman during the 2015 IWLA Convention & Expo, March 8-10, in Savannah, Ga.
Doyle previously served as the association’s vice chairman and 2015 IWLA Convention Planning Committee chairman. He succeeds Tom Herche, president of United Warehouses based in Seattle, Wash., who becomes IWLA immediate past chairman. Herche will remain a member of the IWLA Executive Committee for 2015-2016.
IWLA members also elected board officers:
- Mark DeFabis,CEO of Integrated Distribution Services, Inc., in Plainfield, Ind., ascends to vice chairman and chairman-elect from the treasurer position.
- Clifford Otto, president & CEO of Saddle Creek Logistics Services, in Lakeland, Fla., moves to treasurer from secretary.
- Frank Anderson, vice president of RBW Logistics, in Augusta, Ga., will serve as the new IWLA secretary.
Doyle’s employer, Commercial Warehousing Inc., services a variety of third-party warehouse logistics clients in the southeastern region. The company offers warehousing, transportation and value-added packaging services across multiple temperature ranges. It is an affiliate of Comcar Industries, Inc., one of the largest U.S. privately held asset-based trucking companies. Comcar owns and operates more than 2.6 million square feet of multi-temperature warehouse space in Florida and Georgia.
With 15 years of experience in logistics, Doyle was previously president of Amware Logistics Services for 12 years. He also serves on the Central Florida Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
Doyle graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in political science and served in United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 1995. He also devotes his time to his community, appointed to the Student Advisory Council for town of Oakland, Fla., in January 2015. Doyle resides in Winter Garden, Fla., with his wife and two children.
Doyle will remain IWLA chairman through the 2016 IWLA Convention & Expo, March 13-15, 2016, in Orlando, Fla.
