Building a Case for Warehouse Energy Management: A Webinar
November 20, 2014
11 a.m. to noon Central
(noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific)
Learn How Warehouse Environments Impact Your
Environment – and Your Bottom Line
Program Overview & Faculty
Energy efficiency and smart resource management are
good business for your warehouse logistics organization. You’ve completed the logical first steps – new lighting, skylights, etc. But what other energy-saving ideas can lead to more savings, high margins, and less impact on the environment?
The November 2014 IWLA member webinar offers you some “quick wins” in energy management to easily implement in your warehouse.
The IWLA Sustainability Council is working with energy experts from the Environmental Defense Fund’s Climate Corps program. An EDF representative will lead this session and you’ll discover how sustainable practices improve efficiency, save costs, and accelerate your throughput.
You’ll also find out just how energy is consumed in a typical warehouse environment. And you’ll learn some energy efficiency best practices via the EDF’s research and case study library.
This webinar is a first step in building a case for short- and long-term improvements that drive cost savings through smart energy management. Implementing these simple ideas can differentiate your company as an industry leader.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
As project manager for the Environmental Defense Fund’s Corporate Partnerships Program, Scott Wood focuses on building lasting relationships with leading companies and organizations through EDF Climate Corps. The Corps is EDF’s fellowship program that places specially trained graduate students in companies and other large organizations to save money and reduce emissions by cutting energy waste.
