Program Overview & Faculty

New/evolving legislation and regulations make doing business in California a moving target. IWLA California Chapter members have an advantage: Face-to-face meetings that provide insight into legislative activities and peer discussion about how to best handle these emerging issues.

Our panel will discuss many relevant issues of the state’s warehouse operators and owners:

  • the impact of the California Values Act;
  • developments with the City of Carson Warehouse Tax/45-day Moratorium;
  • potential container tax for California ports;
  • Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP);
  • cargo growth projections and a commercial update for the Port of Long Beach;
  • jobs roadmap for 3PLs; and
  • the political considerations for the 2018 midterm election.
