April 19, 2016 (DES PLAINES, Ill.) –IWLA, the resource for warehouse logistics, named Kenco Vice President & General Counsel Ann Christopher, CWLP, winner of the Pinnacle Award during the association’s 2016 Convention & Expo. Christopher received this new award March 15 during the 2016 IWLA Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla.

The IWLA Pinnacle Award recognizes membership service by an individual from an IWLA member organization. It is given as warranted to individuals who complete a specific, timely service for IWLA members. The IWLA Executive Committee created this award in 2015.

Christopher was honored for her work leading the IWLA Insurance & Legal Committee as it revised sample templates, documents, and contracts for IWLA members’ reference.

“Christopher and the committee put in many hours of editing and discussion to ensure the most relevant contracts and documents for today’s complex warehousing market,” says IWLA President & CEO Steve DeHaan. “Ann used her years of warehouse industry legal experience and knowledge of case law to hone these useful tools for today’s warehouse operators.”

Kenco is the largest woman-owned third-party logistics company in the United States. The company provides integrated logistics solutions that include distribution and fulfillment, comprehensive transportation management, material handling services, real estate management and information technology. Christopher manages Kenco’s legal affairs including: contract development, real estate lease negotiation, claims review, customer bankruptcy and employment law issues.

The award was also granted to fellow IWLA Insurance & Legal Committee member Kevin Phillips, partner at Scopelitis Garvin Light Hanson & Feary in Chicago.
